Conversation Timestamp Option Not Mapped In Gui?

Hi Folks,
Been using gaim on Linux for a long time now, just got the Pidgin 2.0
release today ... my problem relates back to an RPM about a month ago,
but the problem looks to still appear today ... about a month ago I did
a yum update and shortly after that my converstaions stopped having
timestamps ... it didn't occur after a gaim restart, nor even a
conversation window close and then open ... one line the conversation
had timestamps, the next there were none ... I'm not positive gaim was
updated in the yum update, but I'd guess it was ...
After monkeying around, looking at preferences and options for the
Timestamp Format Options plugin, I couldn't find anything I had
mistakingly clicked before that might result in timestamp loss ... about
a month went by without timestamps and then it really started to bug me
so I updated to Pidgin 2.0.0 today ... issue still occured, and it
didn't look like I had missed any config options ... this time I went
into the prefs.xml and grepped for timestamp ... this value was set to 0:
<pref name='conversations'>
<pref name='show_timestamps' type='bool' value='0'/>
I changed it to 1, restarted pidgin and I had timestamps back ... I went
into my preferences through the GUI and nothing had changed there ...
nothing changed in the Plugin options either ... is the timestamp
conversations option not mapped in the GUI? I'm willing to be a guinea
pig if any more info is needed

Thanks
Pete
