I'm not so certain about 'obvious' here.  I am not linking with any  
non-free library.

The only linking i'm doing is to core OS functions, which as far as the  
GPL FAQ at http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#GPLIncompatibleLibs  
says, is perfectly fine.
