System Beep

With the new 2.2.2 on WinXP, I've noticed an annoying beep that didn't exist
before. In the conversation window, pressing the Backspace key when all the
text has already been deleted causes a system beep, where it used to play
one of the configurable sounds. I work in a cubicle, and the beep is
distracting to those around me.

I love Pidgin, keep up the great work! I've installed it on about 10 of my
coworkers machines around here, and it works really well.
