Comment:

 It looks like `pidgin.exe --portable-mode` doesn't work because the core
 doesn't know what to do with the `--portable-mode` flag; I'll fix this.

 Renaming the 2.1.0 `pidgin.exe` to `pidgin-portable.exe` should work (as
 long as you don't also specify the `--portable-mode` flag.  If not, please
 provide debug output when running that.
