 Hi,

 I have attached a network trace of GAIM 2.0.0 BETA6 getting the "Reading
 Error" when connecting to MSN.  I know this isn't Pidgin or the latest
 release etc, but at work I get the same error on any GAIM2 / Pidgin
 release including Adium on MacOSX (Not sure which version of the libs it
 uses).

 The reason I am posting this is I may be able to shed some light on at
 least one reason behind this error. My work uses an IM proxy built by Blue
 Coat software. I'm not sure the exact version of the proxy but after
 reading Blue Coats website I believe it to be of the BlueCoat SG Appliance
 series (http://www.bluecoat.com/products/sg/index.html).

 I have no issues using any of the following: Official Microsoft clients
 (Windows & Mac), Trillian and Alvaro's Messenger, however they all deal
 with BlueCoat's URL interception differently.

 I'm hoping the network trace can help you guys implement a fix for this
 annoying issue.
