#2449: Offline status at startup broken if pasword not saved and closed when not
offline

 Reporter:  BDKMPSS       |       Type:  defect
   Status:  new           |   Priority:  minor

 This is NOT the same bug as Ticket #1129 (Status on startup)
 This is 100% reproducible with both the win32 and the official Debian
 package for Pidgin 2.1.0
 Steps to reproduce:
  * Preferences:
   * Account without a saved password (mine is msn, if that matters, its
 the only account I have now)
   * in status/idle preferences
    * "use status from last exit at startup" unchecked
    * "status apply at startup" is set to "Offline"
  * set your status to something not offline (I have tested available and
 away)
  * exit pidgin
  * start it up
  * (now the buggy part) it asks for the account password and connects,
 shows my buddy's that I am online, even chatting works, but states Offline
 as my status in the Tray-Icon and dropdown box
 It fails both:
  * stay offline
  * show right status
 It should be doing nothing and wait until status is set to something not
 offline, then ask the password and do what it should do
 Things I noticed to avoid/work around this behavior
  * save the password
  * always exit with status set to offline
 Both workarounds are awful and saving the password is not always a good
 idea
 this needs to be fixed
