Comment:

 Nope.  I installed it, then went to the plugins to turn on Log Reader and
 then went to Configure plugin (the trillian option is missing!) and then
 it crashed.

 I re-ran pidgin from the command line and it core dumped again.

 I'll work up the backtrace and attach it next.
