 This "ticket" is a copy of #1227 and #1275... because there is no way to
 reopen a bug and I see it as a good improvement, I post it again. Sorry
 for the inconvenience.

 Switch from .exe file to the newer .msi file as the default installation
 package for Pidgin-Windows-version. It means switch from NSIS ("NSIS
 (Nullsoft Scriptable Install System) is a professional open source system
 to create Windows installers") to an similar alternative than can create
 msi-packages.
 Please take a look on the comments on the closed ticket #1275 and think
 about my recomendation.
