Comment:

 Filing duplicate tickets isn't a good way to get this done.  The
 appropriate thing to to is to ask for a previous ticket to be reopened.
 In this case, the tickets are closed because we decided that it wasn't
 something we wanted to do, so unless you have some new information to add
 (which doesn't appear to be the case), the ticket shouldn't be reopened.

 I'm not going to implement a different installer - if someone wants to
 implement one and submit it, it will be considered.

 As a side note, you still never responded to my suggestion of simply
 wrapping .exe installer in an MSI.
