 In 2.1.0, I see this issue with some but not all contacts. Totally don't
 get why. The two contacts I tried with behave as follows:

 I have one contact with two buddies. Contact alias but no buddy aliases. I
 have a different contact with three buddies. Contact alias but no buddy
 aliases.

 For contact one, the conversation tab shows the contact alias no matter
 what buddy I'm talking to.

 For contact two, the conversation tab shows the contact alias only for the
 top buddy and the username/screenname/etc otherwise.

 I'd expect both to act the same...contact alias regardless...especially
 with the advent of the infopane.
