 I should add that all the combo boxes on the pidgin Preferences
 dialog have a similar problem. In other words, I believe the
 fix is going to be in pidgin_prefs_dropdown_from_list(), and
 you don't want to call:

         pidgin_set_accessible_label (dropdown, label);
