 This started happening in 2.1.1, did not happen before. Whenever I start
 up pidgin, my groups that are named in Russian are duplicated. One group
 appears with proper name and one with screwed up name, like: "Р
 РѕСЃСЃРёСЏ". May be lack of or double UTF8 conversion?

 Both groups have the same contacts. I then proceed to rename the screwed
 up name to the proper name, it offers to merge groups, I accept and
 everything works until pidgin is restarted, at which point this occurs
 again.
