 I'm seeing this regression in 2.1.1 as packaged in Ubuntu's gutsy gibbon
 alpha release.

 Instead of the standard orange close icon, the tabs are now showing an 'x'
 which gets underlined on hover rather than the platform's standard icon
 used by other GTK apps.
