Comment:

 We don't make the Sabayon 'installer', we don't as a rule make any
 distribution specific packages, the Fedora and Windows packages are
 special cases that we do handle. That being said you need to go file a bug
 with the Sabayon people about making things more obvious.

 Out of curiosity what "convincing argument" did the 'installer' give you
 that pidgin was installed? Anything other than having installed the pidgin
 .desktop file/menu entry?
