Comment:

 This is a duplicate of #1086.

 Sure it is a hack - it hacks virtual desktop functionality into Windows;
 that, in of itself, doesn't make it a bad thing.

 If you look at the links to the GTK+ bugs in that report, you'll see that
 it is caused by an apparent bug in the compiler that JSPager uses related
 to setting global hotkeys.

 Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot that we can do about this.
