 I renamed a laggardly 'Gaim' group to 'Pidgin', and Pidgin threw up 26
 'Unable to Add' dialogs: http://www.pidgin.im/~elb/images/oops.png

 In the process, all of the AIM buddies I had in that group disappeared
 from my buddy list, and do not show up there any more.  I think rate
 limiting is related here, as when I subsequently signed on from a
 different computer, I got several rate limiting warnings.

 I'm not sure what information I can give you, at this point.
