 My patch makes pidgin behave this way: if an unknown command (a line
 starting with "/") is sent within a "chat", it will display a "Unknown
 command.". If there is a unknown command within a IM session, it will be
 sent as-is.
 In my opinion this is the best way of behaving, as "/"-commands are mostly
 used in chats like IRC etc., so if there is an unknown one in a chat, it
 is most likely a typo. Most people are not used to use "/"-commands in IM
 sessions, so if there is a line starting with "/" (and it's not a known
 command), it is most likely that the user wanted to write a line starting
 with "/".
 Wow, complicated issue. ;-)
