 I'm having a really strange issue here.

 When I hover over an online ICQ user, I get the popup info window. Okay,
 this is all nice and good until I noticed that the wrong information was
 displaying. When I have my ICQ and MSN accounts enabled, Pidgin seems to
 confuse certain ICQ and AIM accounts. Thus, Pidgin ends up logging the
 conversations under the wrong nicknames.

 For example: I was chatting to someone with ICQ Id 14xxxxxxxx. His pop-up
 information window included both his ICQ information and someone elses'
 MSN information(Perxxxxx at hotmail.com). As a result, my conversations with
 him were logged under Perxxxxx at hotmail.com instead.

 Here's a screenshot of the problem and no, I couldn't take a screenshot of
 ICQ Id 14xxxxxx as his account seems to have completely disappeared. As
 in, it's now found under the account of Perxxxxxx.

 Oh and reinstalling GAIM didn't do anything: the issue did not get worse
 nor did it get any better.
