 Ah thank you for the explanation. I tried your proposed solution and it
 works.

 However, I did not ever group any of my nicknames and this problem
 actually existed right from about 1 month ago, when I first installed
 Feisty. I didn't know about this issue until I was checking my logs. Thus,
 is there any way I can prevent GAIM from automatically grouping nicknames?
