 I like having per-protocol icons on the buddy list and conversation
 windows to distinguish between services. I looked into writing a plugin
 but the relevant code is in pidgin_blist_get_status_icon() so I don't see
 an easy way to override it. It would be nice to have a Pidgin preference
 for this.
