 Using AIM/oscar:

 When setting my status to "available", Pidgin offers me the option of
 entering a status message. If I do, the status message is not truly set.
 None of my contacts can see my status message. I have checked this issue
 with two other Pidgin users. They are experiencing the same issue.

 Locally, Pidgin thinks there is a status message is set, i.e. it says
 "Available - 'status message'" at the bottom of the buddy list window,
 where 'status message' is the particular status message set.
