Comment:

 Upon further investigation I have found out that the friendly name is
 indeed changed (my buddies see me with my new name), but if I go back to
 Accounts -> My msn account -> Set friendly name I still see the old one. I
 have no alias set for myself. However I may be one or two revisions back
 with mtn branch, I last updated it about monday.
