 I'm going to presume that you didn't read ticket 414, or the sourceforge
 forums, or the mailing list threads about this where we explained
 (numerous times over) our reasons for the change as well as the reasons
 for why keeping it as an option isn't something we thought was necessary.
 Further you would have also read that we have more than once stated that
 having this information available in the *conversation* window is
 something that we can see the need for people to have, which is exactly
 the usage you are talking about.
