 Hi, thank you for your quick response.  I am using this at work and don't
 know the details about the firewall.  The stange thing is if I downgrade
 to the pidgin-2.0.0beta7 it works great.  Is there some change on the
 Pidgin side after pidgin-2.0.0beta7 that has to do with the winsock?
