 I took ovnership of C:\Users\timeliketears\AppData?\Roaming\.purple, and
 granted myself full permisison over all user settings for everything,
 Pidgin included.  I then opened Pidgin with the 'Run as Administrator'
 command, and set up my protocols.  Kept the debug log open as I worked,
 and no errors were registered this time.

 Tested the settings by quitting Pidgin and restarting and despite there
 being no error messages, all my settings were gone.  I went to check the
 physical files, and all data had been somehow dumped.

 I am still working on this, this has to be the biggest pain about Vista.
 I know this is not a Pidgin issue, but if this ticket is not closed I will
 post any solutions I find for others to try.
