 2. We've been REMOVING buttons from the toolbar... I think it's unlikely
 that we'll add one.  Especially for a feature that isn't very widely used

 3. I don't think there's much we can do about this.  A lot of it is
 probably just gtk.  In any case, I don't think we need a bug report open
 that says, "use less ram"
