 running ubuntu 7.04, with pidgin 2.1.1

 i have memory leaks, in which pidgin is currently taking up over 13% of my
 RAM when it normally should only be taking ~1% or less.

 i let the debug window open for today, and i have A LOT of lines in red
 that say:
 {{{
 g_log: failure: no device event controller found.
 }}}

 which may be what's causing the memory leak (?)

 There are also a few lines that say:
 {{{
 Gdk: gdk_window_get_state: assertion `GDK_IS_WINDOW (window)' failed
 }}}
 and
 {{{
 GLib-GObject: g_object_steal_qdata: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)'
 failed
 }}}

 can anyone help?
