 I'm having the same problem on Suse 10.2 and pidgin-2.2.1.  The protocol
 box is empty, even though it seems to think two accounts exist.  I suspect
 those are my earlier GAIM accounts.  When I try editing them or adding a
 new one, pidgin segfaults.
