 Whoops! Merge bug. im.pidgin.pidgin has the
 PIDGIN_IS_PIDGIN_CONVERSATION(conv), but my downstream branch didn't, for
 some reason, and especially strangely, since I don't have any downstream
 changes in that area. I'm testing a fixed version now.

 I guess only the dead code removal remains.
