 Still no pattern found.

 I do however notice that my pidgin-process slowly grows in sice.

 At 23:00 I start Pidgin
 pidgin.exe uses 17 512 kB RAM in my WinXP.

 Received (via MSN) an animated GIF from a friend.
 Used RAM is now: 19122 kB

 02:00 - 21 948 kB
 12:20 - 23 160 kB        No conversations with anyone... Pidgin is idle
 but grows in size.
 12:33 - 26 448 kB        Debug window show nothing out of the ordinary.
 17:30 - 28 460 kB        Still no interactive activity to or from me.
 Pidgin keeps growing when idle.
 22:52 - 30 765 kB
 06:45 - 31 800 kB

 So... After 12 hours of idling, pidgin grows from 17 MB to 31 MB. This is
 strange I think.

 ...and why is it 17 MB to begin with? That feels huge for a simple IM
 client.
