 When you have an empty input box and hit backspace or down, it makes a
 beep on the PC Speaker.

 You can't turn it off.

 Another example of the developers adding worthless "Features" that you
 can't turn off.

 Fix this stupid "feature."  It's not cute and it's annoying as hell.

 Stop fucking up the functionality that we used to have.  I'm all in favor
 of progress, but how fucking hard is it to make it an OPTION if you want
 the new way of doing things (formatting incoming messages, escape vs.
 control-w to close windows, keyboard shortcuts for smileys, I could name
 more).

 Seriously, are there AOL developers secretly working on Pidgin to make
 people hate it?  Why is it every release breaks something or takes away
 existing functionality?  Why is it the answer is always "oh, the behavior
 has changed for that."  Well no shit.  And there's no reason for it.
