Comment:

 Are you sure it isn't changing the title as opposed to the title being
 changed and then changed back by pidgin? pidgin has for a while now been
 more aggressive about re-setting the title of the conversation windows and
 when pidgin does that the additions from the message notification plugin
 are removed. The urgency hint and x property options are much more
 reliable (though only available for X11) and the raise option should also
 be much more reliable.
