Comment:

 pidgin comes bundled with Gutsy because the Ubuntu maintainers decided to
 do that, that decision has no bearing on whether or not we host .deb
 packages on pidgin.im and in fact is only likely to *decrease* the
 likelihood of us doing that, since now both Debian and Ubuntu maintain
 their own packages. I have no idea what "Linux Software Update" is or what
 possible relation it has to our website, so I'm not at all sure why you
 think that is relevant.
