 Deleting just /usr/local/bin/pidgin itself is not enough, you need to make
 sure you have cleaned up all of the pidgin bits that live under
 /usr/local. If you happen to still have the source directory you installed
 that version of pidgin from you can run 'make uninstall' in it, if not you
 will need to dig around a bit and remove it all by hand.
