Comment:

 We actually *used* to offer this style of nick completion as a preference,
 but removed it because nearly everyone preferrs bash-style completion.

 We are very careful as to which preferences to accept. Is there a
 particular reason you *need* this style of completion? I think people are
 more familiar with what we currently do.
