Comment (by hobbified):
Please please please fix this.
1) I use pidgin with my IM window and contact list side-by-side, taking up
the full height of the screen. With the "single line" text input, it looks
like complete crap.
2) Interactive elements in a UI shouldn't change their shape for no good
reason. Having the input field resize itself while I'm typing is
distracting and stupid.
3) The auto-resize seems to have failed to take into account custom convo
font sizes, so if I set a font that's larger than the default, the input
field will resize itself on the first ''character'' I type, and then
resize itself back down again every time I send a message.
4) The whole braindead GNOME philosophy issue. My machine was set up for
my best ease of use (and don't laugh, pidgin is an important part of my
work environment). You've gone and made it worse, and made it as difficult
as possible for me to make it better again. Stop doing that.
