Comment:

 Ok, I have killed all codings without CP1251 and restarted pidgin.
 (CP1251 is the normal windows encoding(latin), right?)

 My friend is using Trillian under WinVista(german) and I'm still getting
 vd| for öäü.

 I have now chatted with a second person who is using miranda and when he
 is writing umlaute to me it looks like дцьЯ. And he can read äöü without
 problems if I write them to him.
