 I was using windows version of pidgin and it has this option "Flash
 windows when IMs are received" in Tools > Preferences > Conversations.

 Recently, I started using linux (RHEL 5) and installed pidgin latest
 version in it. Problem here is, I don't see the above option in this linux
 version. And because of this when I get a new chat message, the chat
 window doesn't blink/flash.
