 OK, so I tried out this branch, and I'd like to point out a few minor
 things that would make it a bit better.

 First, there's no preview until after you've pressed Add. It would be nice
 to see a preview in the file browser (like the Buddy Icon selector), or at
 least in the 'Add Smiley' dialog. That wouldn't be too bad, except you
 can't edit a shortcut once made, either. Double-click to edit would be
 nice, when in the Custom Smiley Manager. Also, it doesn't check whether
 you've added an image or just some random file, which might cause problems
 with other clients (Pidgin on the receiving end didn't seem to care, for
 what I tried, but who knows).

 Finally, while the smiley does seem to be sent, it shows up in the local
 window as just plaintext. However, I'm not sure whether that's broken, or
 it's just because I'm testing out Sean's WebKit plugin at the same time.
