 +1 from me.

 I would ''also'' like to request (was going to file a separate ticket),
 that when I change my nick in IRC, to have the nick in the "XX people in
 romm" list updated to show my current nick, just like it does when others
 change theirs.

 I find it very common to change my nick based on where I'm connecting from
 etc.

 steve at home, steve at work

 But if I can't see what my nick is currently, it is easy to not realize
 that it is out of sync with my current status.
