That is interesting, and definitely something that we need to make work
better. But you shouldn't need to quit pidgin and restart it, you should
just need to disable the account and then re-enable it to get it to ask
you for the password again. If that doesn't work (and it really should,
and if it doesn't that is possibly/probably a bug) then you should be able
to Modify the account to set a different password while it is disabled to
force the password to change and then delete it to force pidgin to ask for
the password again.
Also, are you having pidgin save your password or are you typing it in
every time? If you are saving it then this shouldn't be able to happen, if
you are re-typing it that at least opens up the possibility of typing
errors being involved here.
