 1. Chat on IRC
 2. Type /msg otherdude I love you...
 3. Select all, ctrl-a
 4. Cut, ctr-x
 5. Paste, ctrl-v
 6. Press enter
 7. Although the text begun with /msg, it was not handled as private
 message. Went to public channel that I was on at the moment instead.
 8. Blush.

 Happens every time for me.
