 Hmm, the only difference is that I have to use the HTTP method for MSN and
 set the proxy details to get through the firewall at work when using the
 Windows version. At home on the Fedora box I don't use a proxy and connect
 to MSN on port 1863.

 No idea why that would make a difference.
