Comment:

 Windows XP SP2 Pro, PIV 3.0 HT enabled.
 On my home computer: Windows XP x64 SP2 Pro (AMD 3800+), there is somewhat
 faster update, but refreshing is still visible slow (half second freeze
 instead of a few seconds). And I could not reproduce, that menus stopped
 working. When pidgin window is not docked the speed is normal.
