 On Ubuntu 8.04, with Pidgin installed via apt, sometimes it goes crazy
 with memory consumption. This morning I've had it on for about 2 hours
 without sending/receiving any messages. Then my system starts paging
 because Pidgin is taking up over 700Mb RAM. Screenshot shows less, but
 still...
