 Actually, I've discovered that it seems to snap the IM window to the top
 right of the buddy list window now... BUT it only works correctly if it is
 the only window on the screen. So if I have Firefox open underneath, or
 any other window is not minimized, the IM window appears to the top
 (usually) left of the screen. I am running the Gnome desktop on Fedora 9
 Linux.
