Comment:

 So I think this was actually caused by the bug in the oscar protocol
 plugin that Evan pointed out: oscar_offline_message() was returning FALSE
 for AIM buddies when it should have been returning TRUE.

 And it looks like the Offline Message Emulation plugin calls
 purple_account_supports_offline_message() before deciding whether to queue
 a pounce or to let the message through.

 So this should be fixed in the next release of Pidgin.
