 Understood. Simply keeping the text area open with 1 or 2 lines height
 when I've not typed anything would solve my issues with this change. My
 main gripe is while I'm now aware I can type with the history box active,
 this doesn't seem intuitive and logical. When I first opened the app after
 the update I was confused, thought there was a bug, and that I would be
 unable to chat because the text area was 5 pixels high and I could not
 target the box by mouse.
