 The icon scaling doesn't seem to work here on Gentoo Linux 2007 with KDE
 3.5.9, glib 2.14.6, gtk+ 2.12.8, gtkstatusicon.5.diff applied to Pidgin
 2.4.0. Where the X11 setup gave me too large an icon (48px) as described
 in #2025, this approach gives me too small an icon (16px), where all other
 applications (from KDE) use 22px, arranged in two rows of icons.
