Comment:

 This has been fixed by revision
 [1aa8a701c81527c4f91549a4546a54262fccce6d].  The issue was that glib
 2.14.5 and newer use an internal win_iconv implementation instead of the
 external GNU libiconv library and that doesn't know what to do with the
 "UCS-2" encodings.
